I first visited Martha’s class with an intention

so that my public speech will get better

and then it will be more appreciated with much applause by audience.

In other words, I was just looking for some easy tips for humor in my speech.

Now I realized that this idea had been quite wrong and a self-centered one. – so sorry, Martha.

Every month, Martha showed us a different aspect of humor

and how it influence everyday life in the class.

We practiced what we learned with various interesting activities

so that we could have a confidence in using humor little by little.

She always encouraged us to use humor not only in the class, but also out of the class.

The people I met in her class were all highly motivated with a sense of sympathy,

which helped the class go nicely in a warm atmosphere every time.

Here’s what I learned at her wonderful therapeutic humor class.

You can’t become a person with humor in a day.

Actually,it takes a lot of commitment.

It takes time and a lot of effort to develop humor within you to come out of you naturally.

But it really pays off. I strongly believe that humor always save my day.

It’s almost like you have your own personal psychotherapist within you.

You can control your emotions and feeling.

I felt like I broke out of my shell after getting her class.

You need to have good ears to listen to.

You need to have good eyes to look at.

You need to have a quick thinking mind to response.

You need to have good memory and observe others to share feeling.

You sometimes need to have courage to make fool of yourself to make someone feel better.

Last but not least, You need to have a sympathy to have a good time with others

Now I regard humor as a kind of religion or a belief. LOL

Quite contrary to my first impression, I came to realize that humor is a way of service to others.
